In 1995 American Health Systems led the way for other manufacturers to follow. They designed and manufactured the first therapeutic mattress with Defined Perimeter Bolsters. The raised perimeter bolsters slope up from the mattress surface to define the edge and reduce the risk of a patient rolling off while lying down. The unique design of the bolsters combined with The ULTRA�FORM IST� surface technology, addresses pressure relief and safety needs for all residents. DPM Bolsters are also available with "scooped" openings.
